Summer at TLC
Despite the fact that school is not in session, TLC has been bustling with activity this summer. Summer feeding program began this month. Our students and their siblings are invited to come for lunch at the school Monday through Friday. The first day, 34 students came for rice and beans. By the end of the first week, over 120 children were coming for their free lunch.
Mr. Nickson has also been allowing the students to stay after lunch for Bible lessons, songs, coloring, and play time. This gives the students something to occupy their time and it also keeps them off the streets and out of trouble until school starts in the fall.
We thank all of our sponsors and supporters for your prayers. We give thanks and praise to God for his provision for our students during these summer months!

I have enjoyed reading about your great summer activities and your proud graduates. I am on the board of Haiti Under God and My Fathers Guesthouse. I visited TLC with friends in March twice.
Two weeks ago I visited a tent village a short walk from the guest house & was so amazed to find children (one named Calendar I think) who spoke very good English and sang lovely English songs. I asked if they went to TLC & of course they did. They asked if I knew Mr Nickson and Miss Katie and others & I was able to say I knew them and also Mr Nickson’s Madame Sophie. That made them very happy. What a joy to find such beauty, intelligence & well mannered children in such a poor little tent town. Thanks for the wonderful job you are doing there at TLC Barefoot School!
