Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
I know how much you are all anxious to hear from me. First thing to say “THANK YOU, GOD”. My wife and I have been through a very hard time but in all of it, my God was there with us. On Friday May third, my son Christopher had been crying with a stomach pain. On Saturday the 4th, we took him to the hospital and he was hospitalized. My wife and I have been with no sleep since then. After many exams, one of the result revealed a bacteria and urine infection. He’s been under medication and IV. After 3 days, still crying with pain. His little belly is getting bigger. I could not understand what was going on. I had to call many people to ask for some advice. I want to thank you all for taking time to search for ideas and to share with me. Thanks to Miss Dorothy Pearce, Angela (Dottie’s daughter), Linda B and Dottie. After I talked to Dottie, she said to ask the doctor for a sonogram test right away.
The next day, I went to the doctor’s office and requested a sonogram test. After she gave me the paper, I had to take Christopher to another place for the test because they do not have the machine. My wife had to carry the IV and her sister carried Christopher on her lap, while I drove. When we got to the place down town, we spent one hour, there was no one there yet to help and that was the only place we could have it. They said it was too early, the people will start work at 8:30am. After we have the sonogram test, the lady said one of you take the baby back to the hospital now and one of you wait for the result……..And she said it’s very complicated. My wife and I took the baby back to the hospital and her sister waited for the result. When we gave the result to the Doctor, she said……. Emergency! It was an abdominal blockage”. We have to have surgery in 2 hours. I called my brothers and sisters in Christ, I said ” My son is going to have surgery” I NEED HELP! PRAY FOR CHRISTOPHER! I called Dottie to help pass out the word, I called Dorothy Pearce and I called Mr. Wilbert and said “Ask the students to pray for my son.” I was really panic but I tried not to lose faith…….. Not one doctor could do the surgery at the hospital where we were. There were 4 of them in the room but they each said no they can’t. Haiti needs more good DOCTORS. They called another hospital and an ambulance to get Christopher. It took the ambulance 40 minutes to get there. We got him into the ambulance; We are on our way to another hospital. As soon as we get there, they sent me to RED CROSS for blood. I spent 4 hours waiting for the blood. They started the surgery without me being there. Could you imagine how I felt with no blood and my son is in a surgery room. The only person I had to talk to was Jesus. I called Sophie and she said No sign yet. GOD SAVE MY SON! WE ARE SERVING A MIGHTY GOD. Thanks to everyone of you for your prayers. GOD HEARD YOU ALL AND HE GAVE LIFE TO MY SON. After the surgery, they put him on oxygen for one day, the next day, they took the oxygen away. He has little pain but not constantly. He is still at the hospital with his mother and ME, I am at work with my children at school. I had a great time this morning sharing all of this with the students and teachers. They were all clapping and smiling and after WE THANK GOD TOGETHER FOR THIS MIRACLE.
Our God is real; He is not death; He is alive! He hears you when you call Him. He heard us when we prayed for Christopher. In the hard time, don’t lose faith. Keep trusting God and He will show you some amazing things. I don’t know when they will let us take him home but I know he is feeling so much better. He’s smiling and wants to play. The doctor told us what to feed him. Yesterday, they fed him a special meal. We are doing the same thing today. He is still under doctor supervision.
Again, special thank you to all. I will send you some pictures of him later.
ALL GLORY TO HIM
Mr. Nickson

Happy but exhausted family. To God be the Glory!!!

To All,
Christopher is doing very well. He slept through the night, allowing Mommy and Daddy to get some good rest. Still no solid foods allowed he is still on IV, and Nickson and Sophie will have to go to a class to learn how to take care of his incision and how to feed him for a short period of time before he can be released. This is a good thing and i am quite surprised that the hospital is providing this. He is also needing one more blood test before leaving as well.
In Christ,
Dottie

To all,
Little Christopher doing better this morning, off oxygen, awake and not crying
in pain. Nickson and Sophie exhausted no sleep in days. Oh my, what Nickson had
to go through to help the Lord save his son’s life. He literally had to take
his son to get the sonogram with IV in arm, went to several different
hospitals, some closed, some no equipment for this kind of test. All panic broke loose as they read the
sonogram and the nurse actually screamed, “oh my God this child needs surgery
right now” with Nickson standing right there. Then they said “we can’t do
it here; wonder who will do it?” Thank
God, they did call an ambulance for that transport so the test results followed
the ambulance (which is rare in Haiti), then they sent Nickson to get the blood
they would need during surgery (yes, they sent the dad to get the blood). Each time was a wait for Nickson and he had
to get very firm with people to get something accomplished. Nickson said he
just kept praying, knowing and trusting in his God that would not let him down.
I just cannot imagine what they have been through, yet I really can, just a
little as I know what it is like in the hospitals and on the roads.
So we are truly looking at a miracle here, please continue to pray for this
little guy’s speedy recovery. God is in every step along the way.
Nickson stopped at the school this morning and what a blessing as children
greeted him telling how they have prayed for Christopher. Even Miss Linda
Blankenship being at the school right at this particular time, God’s timing in
every step. And every teacher standing behind them and what they are going
through and letting Nickson know how they have prayed and have helped Mr. St.
Hilaire, even Mr. Frantz came to the hospital in the rain last night.
We thank everyone for their prayers and ask that you please continue and we
will keep you posted.
In Christ,
Dottie

RECEIVED THIS FROM LINDA BLANKENSHIP WHO IS AT TLC HELPING OUT (May 9th)
Just a quick note to let you all know that doctors removed oxygen from Christopher this morning, and he is already hungry, which is a great sign they say. His intestines were blocked but surgery was successful and he should be able to go home very soon. Naturally, Nickson and Sophie are exhausted after very little sleep since Satu…rday, so both will try to take turns today to get to their house and sleep a little (lots of family taking turns at hospital to help out). We serve a faithful, loving God, and here at TLC School this morning, the kids sang a couple of “praise to God” songs in lieu of His healing of Christopher…it was beautiful! To all of you involved in helping support the school, your money is well invested! I am so proud of the many prayers sent up from these kids and teachers!!
Love to all of you,
Linda

Just got the word, Christopher is out of recovery, still asleep and on oxygen for now. Surgery went well, blockage in bowel, like a knot. Please keep Daddy, Mommy, Damilie, and little Christopher in continual prayer, we need a speedy healing, may he draw from the Lord’s strength as they all need that strength and peace. We thank our Father in Heaven right now, in Jesus name for guiding the hands of the surgeon and we trust in HIM to continue to heal this little guy. May all the glory and praise be HIS. Thanks to all for your prayers and we know you’ll keep them lifted up.
God bless,
Dottie

Dear friends and family,
Right now, Mr. Nickson’s little son, Christopher, needs you to intercede with prayer on his behalf. He has been hospitalized with a bacterial infection in his stomach, is on IV drip and anti-biotic. Nickson and Sophie have spent the night in the hospital two nights now, no sleep, this little guy is very sick, but thank God they have found the problem and he is being treated.
Please continue to pray for little Christopher, the family, and for them to be able to find someone that can watch their children while they work, and most importantly with the love of Christ.
Thank you,
Dottie
