2011-2012 Graduation
The 2011-2012 school year has come to a close, and we couldn’t be more thankful for this wonderful year. Our students worked hard and did their best.
On the last day of school, we held a graduation ceremony for our four 8th grade students.
Our students came dressed in their very best clothes, and the day started with breakfast at 7:30 for all students.
Graduation started at 8:30. Mr. Nickson was our MC for the program. Pastor Bobby Boyer, pastor of Quisqueya Chapel, joined us for the ceremony. He prayed for the students and gave a short message to the graduates. Other speakers, included Mr. Wilbert, Mr. Frantz, and Miss Katie.
Each of the graduates gave a short speech in which they expressed their thankfulness to their parents, teachers, staff, sponsors, and board members. The graduates called the staff to join them at the front in order to give them a special thank you for all of their hard work over the years.
Many of our students had rehearsed songs and/or dances that they performed during the ceremony.
Each of the graduates received a diploma, and after the ceremony all the students and parents enjoyed a special meal of rice, beans, turkey, and cake.
It was a special day for everyone.
